Am Wochenende waren wir in einem Gartencenter um größere Töpfe für unsere Jungpflanzen zu besorgen. Leider hat es die quadratischen Töpfe die ich gerne gehabt hätte nicht gegeben, deshalb haben wir 20 Stück Runde genommen und dann bei einem Großmarkt noch eine hunderter Packung breite Plastikbecher mitgenommen, die etwa genauso groß wie die Töpfe aber billiger waren.
Im Gartencenter haben wir auch Erdnuss-Samen gefunden, also gibt es dieses Jahr noch ein zusätzliches Experiment...
Wieder zu Hause gab es dann eine große Umtopfaktion. Begonnen habe ich mit den größten Pflanzen und mich dann zu den kleineren durch gearbeitet. Wenn zwei Tomatenpflanzen in einem Topf waren, habe ich sie zusammen gelassen. Paprika und Melanzani hab ich bei Bedarf auseinander gesetzt.
12 Pflanzen waren noch so klein, dass ich beschlossen habe sie momentan noch nicht in größere Töpfe umzusetzen sondern in den kleinen Anzuchttöpfen zu belassen.
Die großen Töpfe sind dann alle gleich hinunter in das neue Gewächshaus gewandert. Im Gewächshaus ist es immer recht feucht und warm, bis jetzt scheint es den Pflanzen zu gefallen. Ich habe sie jetzt auch in der Nacht immer drinn gelassen und bis jetzt sehen sie alle gut aus.
Heute gibt es eine neue Herausforderung für die Pflanzen: Sonnenschein. Seit ich die Pflanzen vor ein paar Tagen hinunter gebracht habe in den Garten war es immer bewölkt und hat teilweise sogar geregnet. Heute ist es das erste Mal heiß und sonnig. Ich hoffe sie sind mittlerweile Akklimatisiert genug, dass es ihnen nichts ausmacht. Eine weitere Tatsache die mir ein wenig Sorgen bereitet, ist dass das Gewächshaus von Ameisen überrannt wird. Ich hoffe die Ameisen bringen keine Blattläuse, die kann ich nämlich gar nicht gebrauchen.
Aber sonst sieht soweit alles gut aus.

This weekend we've been at a Garden Centre to buy bigger pots for our young plants. Unfortunately they didn't have the square ones that I would have liked to have. Instead we took 20 round ones and at a nearby big warehouse 100 big plastic cups at about the same size as the pots.
At the garden centre we also found peanut seeds, therefore there will be another experiment this year...
Back at home I've been busy re-potting my plants. Beginning with the biggest, I worked my way through to the smaller ones. If two tomato plants shared one pot, I left them together. Peppers and eggplants got divided if necessary. 12 of the plants have been so small that I left them in their small starting pots.
The big pots all went down to the new greenhouse immediately. The climate in the greenhouse is always very moist and warm. Until now the plants seem to like it. I've left them there over night too and they all look happy.
Today my little plants will have to cope with a new challenge: Sunshine. Since I brought the plants down to the garden a few days ago, we always had cloudy weather and even rain. Today is the first time it is really sunny and hot. I hope they had enough time to acclimate, so that they can deal with it.
Another thing that worries me a bit, is the fat that the green house is overrun by ants. I really hope that they do not bring aphids, because I really don't need them.
Apart from that everything looks good.
